We wanted a low key day so we drove the backroads down to New Haven via Cheshire, where we bought a present for Keyvan and Talieh Kashef's baby Oliver. In New Haven we took a tour of Yale University. The guide was a young student who described what student life was like. She also showed us around. We met her favorite statue of Nathan Hale who was a spy during the Revolutionary War. The foot is touched by students who need a little extra luck. I do not remember the name of the man who owned the foot. We also saw the law school with funny reliefs above the windows and doors. Bill and Hillary Clinton went to school there. We also were shown Maya Lin's statue - similar in a way to her Vietnam memorial.
Afterwards we had a nice hot dog at the corner of the Court House. A lawyer was being interviewed by a TV station. A couple was accused of growing or selling marijuana. And of course, they had nothing to do with it. We later saw it on the evening news.
